FITTING NEW SHOCK
MOUNTING RUBBER BUSHES

1)

Remove the old rubber bushes from the shocks and clean the shock eyes where the new bushes are to be fitted. The new bushes are moulded from a hard wearing synthetic rubber to give you long life and durability.

2) Put some grease onside the shock eye and on the outer diameter of the rubber bush that fits inside the eye, any grease will do. Push the rubber bushes into the eyes.

3) If you are fitting a metal sleeve into the rubber bush, use some grease as before on the inside of the rubber bush and on the outer diameter of the metal sleeve.

4) Push the shock eyes onto the shock mounts, do not over tighten on the shock eyes or you may damage the shock eyes and restrict the movement of the shock.

5) We strongly recommend that every 3 months you check the rubber shock absorber bushes are capable of easy rotation in the shock absorber eye. it is important that this maintenance is carried out to ensure smooth action of the rear suspension. A few drops of oil each side of the bush and worked between the surface of the rubber and the shock eye will ensure that this bearing surface is free to rotate.

Please Note: These instructions for fitting the shock mounting bushes follow the procedure we use at the factory. No liability for any accidents, or injuries, occurring whilst following these instructions will be accepted, as we have no control over your working conditions or working practices. If you have any problems in fitting these rubber bushes, then please telephone the factory, during telephone hours for help and advice.
